ÈËÑýÌìÌÃapp Wins Islamic Quiz Competition

Our heartiest congratulations to the Boys Quiz Team of ÈËÑýÌìÌÃapp for winning the 2015 Inter-school Islamic Quiz Competition (IIQC) held at Ilim College Auditorium on Tuesday the 10th of November. The Annual Quiz Competition was between the student teams of ÈËÑýÌìÌÃapp, Ilim College and Darul Ulum College of Victoria.

  • Jameel Mohammed, Mohamed Mohamed and Khalid Adam represented Year 7.

  • Abdul Rahman Afiouni, Yusuf Mohamed and Mohamed Mohamed represented Year 8.

  • Ahmed Ibrahim, Bilal Adnan and Hussein Chamra represented Year 9.

  • Bakr Khodr, Abdulla Tawhidi and Sulaiman Mohamad represented Year 10.

Apart from the Quiz Contest, Bilal Adnan of Year 9B spoke at the gathering on the ‘Virtues of Reading Quran’ and Abdulla Tawhidi from Year 10B moved the crowd by giving his viewpoints on the message of todayÈËÑýÌìÌÃapp Muslim youths.

On individual rounds, our Years 7 and 9 team emerged as winners in their respective categories. The most outstanding quiz entrant in the entire contest was Ahmed Ibrahim of Year 9B. He is also congratulated for an excellent overall individual performance.

Each of our participants received a $50 gift voucher and certificate of achievement. An IIQC Perpetual Shield was also given to our school for been the 2015 winners, Alhamdulillah.

Indeed, we are proud of the achievement of the Boys’ Team and wish to thank the teachers – Brs. Amir, Owais, Osman and Asim for preparing the teams. Sr Khadeejah is especially thanked for her efforts from the Quiz planning stage right up to the preparatory and final stages. Moreover, her zeal and inspiration to ensure we have the best team ready for the contest is commendable. The entire Religion team is thanked for their support and assistance.

I would like to especially acknowledge our Principal – Islamic Tradition – Sr Rahat Arain for her on-going assistance and support towards such an event.

To the Boys’ Teams of Al Siraat – just remember that winning does not always mean being the first; winning means you are doing better than you have done before.

Congratulations to the 12 students who represented our College – we are so happy and proud with your achievement. Well done!
