We are organising a number of fun – learning activities that incorporate literacy and numeracy, such as

- Scholastic Book Fair
- Selected students to read part of their favourite story in assembly
- Guessing Nursery Rhymes and Book Titles
- Design a new book cover for their favourite book.
- Character Parade
- Estimating Jelly Beans in a Jar
The highlights of the week are:

BOOK CHARACTER PARADE
Thursday, 7 September 2017
ÈËÑýÌìÌÃapp will host a Storybook Character Parade for all Junior School students. We encourage students to dress up as their favourite storybook character. Students who are dressed as a Storybook Character will walk in the parade with their classes. Students may choose any character from a book they enjoy following the guidelines in this letter. To support students’ feelings of safety and security at school, violent or frightening costumes are not acceptable. No weapons or dangerous-looking items will be permitted to accompany a costume. All costumes are required to adhere to the Islamic dress-code (costumes must be loose and non-see through).
Please talk with your child about how he or she would like to participate in this event, and mark your calendars! See your childÈËÑýÌìÌÃapp teacher for further information.
