Last week, Al Siraat hosted the first Interschool Sport competition for the year, with our Year 6 students competing against Edgars Creek Primary School in soccer, cricket and basketball. Interschool Sport Victoria (ISSV) provides students with the opportunity to participate in a structured sport competition which is played between schools.
We had separate girls and boys’ teams for each of the three sports played on the day, thus 6 teams in total. With freshly painted lines and lush green grass on a warm sunny day, conditions were perfect for both cricket and soccer. Our popular basketball court was prepped up with new NBA nets and stylish new basketballs. Our students proudly wore their ASC jerseys with joy.
It was a great experience for all. Congratulations to everyone who was part of the day, whether playing or spectating.
