Religious Education Quran & Hifz
At ÈËÑýÌìÌÃapp, students progress from the learning to read stage (Iqra stage) to the advanced reading stage (Qur'an stage) where they are systematically taken through the guided reading of the Quran. This process is generally completed by the end of Junior School (Year 6).
Secondary School students in Years 7 to 10 play an integral role in this program, delving deeper into the theory of tajweed, which is the art of proper pronunciation and recitation of the Qur’an. New students joining the program are guided through our regular reading program, designed to help them build a strong foundation in reading and understanding the Qur'an.
For those students who demonstrate a higher level of proficiency and commitment, we recommend participation in an optional assessment for the special Hifz program. This advanced program is designed specifically for Junior School students starting from Year 3, allowing them to focus on memorizing the Qur'an in a structured environment.
To ensure parents remain informed about their childÈËÑýÌìÌÃapp progress in class, we maintain a dedicated Religion webpage. Here, the Religion staff provide weekly updates on student performance and activities. Additionally, the webpage features a variety of useful Qur'an resources that can support students in their learning journey. This approach fosters a strong partnership between the school and families, enhancing the educational experience for all students involved.
